Former Captain Faf du Plessis has been left out of the South Africa squad for the One Day International (ODI) series against England, which begins on 4th December at Newlands.
Earlier this year, Faf du Plessis retired from Test cricket, was resting for the three-match ODI series after competing in the T20I matches against England, which England swept 3-0, and in the IPL for the Chennai Super Kings.
On the sidelines, he joined injured fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. Earlier this week, Kagiso Rabada sustained an adductor injury and will only return to the pitch later this month for the Test series against Sri Lanka.
Besides that, as the numbers were decreased to 18, Reeza Hendricks, Bjorn Fortuin and Pite van Biljon were also all left out from the squad.
