Indias in men

During India's second match of the T20I series against England on Sunday, captain Virat Kohli became the first cricketer to reach 3000 runs in men’s Twenty20 International (T20I) format.

Virat Kohli's knock of 73-run, which came off 49 balls, helped India level (1-1) the five-match T20I series in Ahmedabad after losing the opening match by 8 wickets.

England set a target of 165 for India, and the hosts scored 166/3 in only 17.5 overs. Apart from Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan, the debutant, also hit a half-century from the opening slot.

In his innings, the Indian skipper was able to score 5 fours and 3 sixes, as he pulled a short ball over fine leg to hit the winning runs, a huge maximum off a delivery from Chris Jordan.

Virat Kohli has played 87 T20I games in his career, scoring 3001 runs at an average of 50.86 and a 138.35 of strike rate. He has completed 26 fifties too and registered a highest score of unbeaten 94.
