For the fifth season, the Abu Dhabi T10 League will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 19 November to 4 December. The only 10-over format cricket permitted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and authorised by the Emirates Cricket Board is the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

The T10 tournament has gathered a lot of publicity and support from fans worldwide since its launch in 2017 because it is fast-paced and manages to entertain audiences with some exciting encounters. In a single match, a total of 20 overs are bowled, with each side receiving ten overs to bat for 90 minutes. The game is run in a round-robin format, with semi-finals and the final following.

The last edition of the elite tournament was held at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi from 28 January to 6 February 2021. The fourth edition was scheduled for November and December 2020. Still, due to the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League being held in the United Arab Emirates from September to November, the T10 league was postponed by two months.

The fourth season, which took place earlier this year, drew many viewers, prompting the authorities to announce the dates for the fifth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. According to a tweet from the Abu Dhabi T10 League's official account, the tournament will take place from 19 November to 4 December 2021. Even though the league's date has been revealed, the Emirates Cricket Board has yet to announce the tournament's schedule and venue.

Northern Warriors claimed the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi T20 League by eight wickets over Delhi Bulls. Nicholas Pooran, the Northern Warriors' captain, led from the front throughout, and his feats with the willow helped the team reach the final. Meanwhile, Warriors' off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana took three wickets to help them win the tournament.
