KXIP skipper KL Rahul took home the very coveted Orange Hat in IPL 2020 with 670 runs from 14. While Kings XI fell at the final hurdle, losing to CSK in their must-win last league game, throughout the tournament, Rahul led from the front.

It's been a while since Kings XI Punjab were dumped out of IPL 2020, but their Orange Cap was winning skipper, and talisman KL Rahul will come to them as some consolation. The fact that during this version, the opening batsman was on top of the charts and comfortably won the much-fantasized race at the end is an ode to the consistency of Rahul.

Rahul's runs came with a strike rate of 129.34 at an average of 55.83. Five half-centuries and one century were included. His 132 * against RCB early in the season was also this edition's highest individual result.

Between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 Final. If he scored 68 or more runs in the final, Shikhar Dhawan had the chance of getting ahead of Rahul. But Dhawan scored only 15 in the final as fate would have it and finished his season with 618 runs from 17 games-the second-highest run-getter in the season.

Coming back to KL Rahul, he and his fellow Karnataka teammate Mayank Agarwal produced a lethal opening combination. The duo opened the batting and tormented the opposition bowlers and gave Kings XI an explosive start.

With Kings XI going trophy-less again, the fans may feel down and out, but the fact that their skipper has won such a significant award points to their bright future. Kings XI in the IPL 2021 will be inching towards their maiden crown.
